Job summary

Salt College is seeking an experienced SEND Co-ordinator to manage SEND and EHCP processes across the College. You will coordinate consultations, annual reviews and ensure statutory deadlines are met, working with learners, families, Local Authorities and external professionals.

You will be highly organised with strong administrative and communication skills, enjoy working in a supportive college environment and be committed to helping learners progress and succeed.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with young people with SEND in education.
  • Experience of EHCP administration and annual reviews.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND statutory processes and safeguarding.
  • Excellent organisational, administrative and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Confidence working with learners, parents and professionals.
  • Maths and English at Level 2 or above.

Responsibilities

  • Manage EHCP consultations, annual reviews and deadlines.
  • Coordinate information from relevant teams and reports.
  • Ensure SEND provision is understood and monitored.
  • Coordinate transition and enrolment of learners with SEND.
  • Maintain audit-ready SEND records and trackers.
  • Monitor learner progress against EHCP outcomes.
  • Act as main contact for learners, families and Local Authorities.
  • Support safeguarding and Preparing for Adulthood planning.
