The Education Network in Birmingham is seeking a SEND Class Teacher to join from September in a renowned specialist school in Atherstone. You will teach a small class of pupils with diverse SEND, planning and delivering differentiated lessons and working with TAs and specialists.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential
• Experience teaching primary or secondary-aged pupils
• Passion for inclusive education and SEND support
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills
• Ability to differentiate learning to meet a range of needs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• SEND experience desirable but not essential

Responsibilities

• Teaching a small class of pupils with special educational needs
• Planning and delivering creative, engaging and differentiated lessons
• Supporting pupils with Autism, MLD and communication needs
• Creating a safe, structured and nurturing classroom environment
• Working closely with Teaching Assistants and specialist professionals
• Monitoring progress and contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
• Encouraging independence, confidence and social development
• Building strong relationships with families and external agencies
