Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a SEND Class Teacher (Non-QTS) for a role in Hammersmith, London. The salary range is £29,336–£42,429 per annum, with full-time, permanent terms and no requirement for QTS.

You will lead a small class, plan and deliver inclusive lessons, monitor progress and work closely with TAs, families and external professionals, receiving coaching from qualified colleagues and the Headteacher.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching or leading learning with children or young people.
• Solid subject knowledge and teaching competence.
• Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning.
• Good understanding of SEND and adaptive teaching.
• Safeguarding awareness and professional judgement.
• Ability to work with guidance and feedback.
• Commitment to reflective practice and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day teaching, learning and pastoral provision of a small class.
• Plan, deliver and assess engaging, inclusive lessons using the school's curriculum frameworks.
• Understand pupils' starting points, EHCP outcomes and communication needs.
• Adapt teaching and learning to support a range of SEND profiles and individual needs.
• Lead and deploy the class Teaching Assistant effectively.
• Monitor, record and evidence pupil progress, attendance, interventions and pastoral actions.
• Work collaboratively with specialist teachers, families and external professionals.
• Maintain a calm, consistent and positive classroom environment.
• Follow safeguarding, behavior, attendance, equality, online-safety and health-and-safety procedures.
• Participate in coaching, professional development, moderation, learning walks and curriculum reviews.
