You will plan individual learning plans, support autism and communication needs, and work with assistants and external professionals. QTS is essential and DBS Update Service is preferred. Long-term opportunities available.

Qualifications

• QTS is essential.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEND in specialist settings.
• Experience with autism and communication needs.
• Strong classroom management and behaviour-support skills.
• Able to differentiate lessons to meet individual needs.
• Enhanced DBS (Update Service) or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils' needs.
• Support pupils with SEND including autism and communication needs.
• Develop and implement individual learning plans.
• Promote communication, independence, emotional regulation and social development.
• Collaborate with teaching assistants, the wider school team and external professionals.
• Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate assessment records.
• Create a safe, structured, inclusive classroom environment.
