Job summary

Nottingham City Council is seeking a dedicated SEND Caseworker to join the children’s services team. You will coordinate Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and reviews, working closely with families, schools, health professionals and partner agencies.

Hybrid working, full-time and permanent. You will monitor statutory timescales, maintain compliant EHC plans, and provide advice and support to families and professionals to secure positive outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SEND legislation and practice
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage Education, Health and Care (EHC) needs assessments and reviews.
• Work with families, education settings, health professionals and partner agencies to secure timely support.
• Oversee complex casework and monitor progress against statutory timescales.
