London Borough of Newham is recruiting a SEND Assistant Case Officer to support the administration of statutory assessments for children with special educational needs. The role is hybrid and involves being the first point of contact for families, schools and settings, coordinating caseloads and working with multidisciplinary teams to improve outcomes.

• Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience in SEND or related field.
• Strong knowledge of SEND Code of Practice, Disability Act 2001, Disability Discrimination Act 2005, SEN Regulations 2001 and 2002.
• Experience working in SEND or with services for children, young people and families.
• Ability to listen to service users and shape service delivery.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in producing high-quality performance reports for senior managers.
• Commitment to diversity in service provision and employment practices.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with administration of statutory assessments and monitoring provision suitability.

• Manage caseloads for children with EHC Plans or under assessment.
