Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking passionate SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistants to support pupils with a range of needs across North Birmingham schools.

The role involves 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils access learning and develop confidence in a safe, inclusive classroom environment. You will work alongside teachers and pastoral teams to follow individual plans, support emotional regulation, and foster positive relationships with pupils.

Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for passionate and dedicated SEND & SEMH Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across a range of welcoming schools in North Birmingham. We have opportunities for experienced Teaching Assistants as well as individuals looking to develop their career within education and SEND. You will play an important role in supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them to overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

About the Role

As a SEND/SEMH Teaching Assistant, you may be supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis, in small groups or within the classroom.

Your responsibilities could include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs
• Supporting pupils to access learning and engage positively in the classroom
• Helping children develop confidence, independence and social skills
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour
• Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils
• Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
