Job summary

City of Wolverhampton College is seeking a committed manager to provide support for youth and adult students and apprentices with additional needs, including those with EHCPs, and to line-manage Specialist/Student Support Workers.

You will work alongside tutors, Specialist/Support Workers and Assessors to ensure effective support for all learners, contribute to planning that promotes progression into independent learning, and maintain audit trails to meet Adult Education Budget requirements

Job Purpose:

To provide support for youth and adult students and apprentices with additional needs meeting the Additional Learning Support funding and Adult Education Budget guidance. To provide line management to the Specialist/Student Support Workers. To work alongside tutors, Specialist/Support Workers and Assessors to provide effective support for all students and Apprentices with an EHCP. To work as a team with other managers to provide an audit trail of support to meet Adult Education Budget requirements. To liaise with key members of the team to inform the development of planning to support students in educational and pastoral activities in order to promote progression into independent learning and further training and educational opportunities.

Salary: Scale 6 SCP 23-25 - £29,834 - £31,601
