Job summary

Atherstone SEND School is seeking an experienced SENCO to join its leadership team in this specialist setting. You will lead SEND provision, oversee EHCPs, monitor progress and ensure personalised learning for pupils with ASC, MLD and related needs.

The role requires QTS, a National Award for SEN Coordination (or progression towards it), and a proven track record in SEND leadership. You will collaborate with families, therapists and external agencies to drive high-quality inclusive practice.

The Role:

• Ensure the school remains fully compliant with SEND legislation and best practice

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• The National Award for SEN Coordination (or be working towards it where appropriate)
• Significant experience working within a SEND setting
• Excellent knowledge of EHCPs, the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive education
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• A collaborative approach and a passion for improving outcomes for children with SEND
