Job summary

Harefield Infant and Junior School is seeking an experienced SENCo to cover maternity leave across our Infant and Junior sites as a non-class based teacher with responsibility for SEN. The post starts 1st January 2027 or sooner if available and requires a proactive, safeguarding-aware practitioner.

Qualifications

• SENCo experience or recognised SENCo qualification
• Experience in coordinating SEN provision and liaising with teaching staff
• Proven safeguarding knowledge and practice

Responsibilities

• Oversee SEN provision across both Infant and Junior sites as a non-class based SENCo
• Lead on referrals, IEPs and liaising with external specialists
• Promote inclusive practice and monitor achievement and progress of pupils with SEN
