Job summary

Red Kite School is seeking an outstanding SENCO to lead and coordinate high-quality SEND provision at Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire. You will ensure every student receives the support, guidance and opportunities they need to thrive academically and personally.

You will take strategic and operational lead for SEND provision, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, oversee EHCP processes, and work with families, staff and external agencies to drive continual improvement.

Qualifications

• QTS or equivalent
• Experience with children and young people with SEND
• Experience leading or coordinating SEND provision
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and the SEND Code of Practice
• Experience managing EHCPs and working with external agencies
• NASENCO qualification (or willingness to achieve it) desired

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SEND provision across the setting.
• Chair EHCP annual reviews and maintain SEND documentation.
• Provide expert guidance and support to teaching and support staff.
• Monitor student progress and evaluate the impact of interventions.
• Collaborate with families, local authorities and external professionals.
• Ensure compliance with SEND legislation, the SEND Code of Practice and statutory requirements.
• Support development of inclusive teaching strategies and personalised support plans.
• Use data and provision mapping to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
