Job summary

St Francis Catholic Primary School in Maldon is seeking an enthusiastic SENCO to lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school. You will work closely with staff, pupils, parents and external agencies to ensure high-quality inclusive teaching and outcomes for all pupils.

The successful candidate will champion inclusion, have NASENCO or be willing to undertake NPQ for SENCOs, and contribute to staff development within a supportive Catholic school community.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with experience of working with children with a range of SEND.
• Experience coordinating SEND provision including EHCPs, annual reviews, and working with external agencies.
• Strong leadership and ability to support and develop staff in inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate SEND provision across the school in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
• Provide guidance and support to colleagues, and manage targeted interventions and monitor impact on pupil progress.
• Lead staff training and professional development to build SEND knowledge and practice.
