Job summary

Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in London seeks a SENCo to lead SEND provision across the school, ensuring inclusive, high-quality support for pupils with additional needs. The role combines strategic leadership with day-to-day specialist support to enable pupils to reach their academic, social and emotional potential.

The SENCo will ensure compliance with SEND Code of Practice, Equality Act and Independent School Standards while promoting an inclusive culture and high expectations.

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership of SEND provision
• Identification and assessment of pupils with SEND
• Pupil support and inclusion across curriculum and school life
• Staff development and training on inclusive practice
• Parental and external agency liaison
• Compliance with SEND codes and safeguarding requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of the school’s SEND policy.
• Promote an inclusive culture and high expectations for pupils with SEND.
• Contribute to the School Development Plan and school improvement priorities.
• Monitor SEND provision using data analysis and pupil progress tracking.
• Advise SLT and Governors on SEND matters.
• Promote best practice in inclusive teaching across the school.
