Job summary

Polaris Education - Easthorpe School is seeking a capable SENCO to drive SEND provision for pupils aged 7-13 within a small class setting.

You will shape SEN policy, deliver targeted interventions, and lead EHCP reviews while working closely with teachers, parents and external partners to support pupil outcomes. This роли requires QTS and NASENCO/NPQ, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is required.
• NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs may be required by the school.
• Experience with EHCP annual reviews and SEND Code of Practice knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Determine strategic SEN policy and provision across the school.
• Design and deliver targeted interventions to reduce attainment gaps.
• Assess and monitor pupils' progress in line with EHCPs.
• Coordinate and chair EHCP annual reviews.
• Act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL).
• Lead multi‑agency meetings and Early Help initiatives.
• Liaise with Headteacher, tutors, class teachers and parents on learning plans.
• Manage day‑to‑day SEN policy operations and provision for pupils with SEN.
• Maintain accurate records and support teaching and behaviour strategies.
• Collaborate with external agencies to support pupil development.
