Job summary

Polaris Education’s Easthorpe School in the East Midlands seeks an experienced SENCO to lead SEND provision for pupils aged 7–13. The role includes policy development, targeted interventions and coordinating EHCP reviews.

You will hold QTS and NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs, with a strong track record in staff training and safeguarding. This is a full-time, term-time-only appointment with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• QTS and ongoing commitment to SEND development in school.
• NASENCO or NPQ for SENCOs preferred or willingness to undertake.
• Experience in self-evaluation, development planning and EHCP reviews.

Responsibilities

• Develop SEN policy and provision across the school.
• Design targeted interventions to reduce attainment gaps.
• Assess and monitor pupils' progress per EHCPs; chair reviews.
• Coordinate safeguarding and liaise with parents, tutors and staff.
• Lead staff training and SEN-related INSET activities.
