Job summary

Reeson Education is recruiting for a SENCO Assistant at a welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets. The role involves coordinating SEND provision, supporting pupils with SEND, and working with the SENCO and inclusion team.

The ideal candidate will have SEND experience in a primary school, good SEND knowledge, and strong communication and organisational skills. The position offers a long-term, full-time opportunity with a competitive daily rate of £110-£125.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils with SEND in a primary school
• Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive practice
• Experience with EHCPs or individual learning plans
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Calm, patient and proactive approach
• Interest in progressing within the SEND sector

Responsibilities

• Support the SENCO with the day-to-day coordination of SEND provision and individual support plans
• Work with teachers and TAs to ensure pupils' needs are supported
• Support pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs and SEMH
• Monitor pupil progress and contribute to observations and assessments
• Assist with EHCP-related documentation and reviews
• Collaborate with parents, teachers and external professionals
• Deliver targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions
• Help ensure pupils receive inclusive and personalised support
