Job summary

Chislehurst and Sidcup Grammar School in London is seeking a Teaching & SENCO Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support to the SENCO and pupils with SEN across the curriculum. The role is 30 hours per week during term time (38 weeks), with pro rata salary details and a focus on delivering EHCP-based interventions.

The ideal candidate will have SEND experience, be patient and resilient, understand EHCPs, communicate well, and support inclusive outcomes for all pupils.

Qualifications

• Have experience working with children with SEND.
• Be patient, nurturing and resilient.
• Have a good understanding of EHCPs and targeted interventions.
• Communicate effectively and work well as part of a team.
• Be committed to supporting inclusion and positive outcomes for all pupils.

Responsibilities

• Deliver structured interventions and support programmes as outlined in the EHCP.
• Support the pupil's social, emotional and academic development.
• Work collaboratively with the SENDCo, class teacher, and wider support staff.
• Monitor and record progress against EHCP outcomes.
