Job summary

Oakridge School in High Wycombe is seeking a passionate SENDCo to lead and champion SEND provision across the school. This permanent, part-time role (3 days per week) starts January 2027 or earlier with our support for National SENCO training.

You will collaborate with staff, parents and external professionals to ensure every child receives high-quality education and thrives socially and academically. You will join a dedicated Inclusion Team within the wider leadership structure.

Qualifications

• National SENCO Award required or willingness to undertake with support.

*This is a permanent, part‑time role (3 days per week) with flexibility around days and hours. We are seeking someone to start January 2027, or earlier if available. Not yet qualified? We will fully support you in gaining the National SENCO Award.

About the Role

As our SENDCo, you will lead and manage SEND provision across the school, ensuring every child receives a high‑quality education and thrives both socially and academically. You will:

• Work closely with staff, parents and external professionals
• Support and develop colleagues who are eager to learn and committed to inclusive practice
• Play a key role in the Wider Leadership Team, shaping the strategic direction of the school
• Collaborate with our experienced Assistant Head for Inclusion and our dedicated Inclusion Team, including our Pastoral Lead, Family & Welfare Officer and Attendance Officer

• Is passionate about giving SEND children the best life chances
• Holds the National SENCO Award or is willing to undertake it with our support
