Job description

Career Teachers are seeking an experienced and qualified SENCO for a full-time position at a mainstream Primary School in Bexley.

The ideal candidate will have SENCO experience, preferably within a Primary setting, but applications from those with Secondary and SEN experience will also be considered.

You will be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, supporting children with SEN throughout the school to ensure they have access to learning.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Referring pupils to appropriate agencies and managing paperwork transfers
  • Organising IPP meetings, including scheduling and liaising with parents and teachers
  • Assessing pupils with additional needs
  • Assisting in writing EHC plans
  • Monitoring the SEN register
  • Developing intervention materials with teachers
  • Analyzing SEN and more able cohort data
  • Leading groups and supporting individuals with additional learning needs
  • Monitoring and contributing to the Inclusion Action Plan

This role is initially temporary, with the potential for a permanent contract for the right candidate.

The salary ranges from £190 to £290 per day, depending on experience.
