Teaching Assistant (Secondary)

Location: Waltham Forest

Pay Rate: £90 - £108 per day

Contract term: Long Term

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our thriving, culturally diverse secondary school. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people—particularly those with special educational needs (SEN), English as an Additional Language (EAL), or requiring additional learning support.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups across a range of subjects
• Assist classroom teachers in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons
• Support students with SEN or EAL needs, helping to remove barriers to learning
• Contribute to the development of pupil independence, resilience and progress
• Collaborate with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies
• Maintain a safe, orderly and positive learning environment
  
  

The Ideal Candidate Will

• Be passionate about helping young people reach their full potential
• Have experience supporting students in a secondary school setting (preferred)
• Be confident in managing behaviour and building positive relationships
• Possess excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
