Vision for Education is working in close partnership with an independent school in Cranbrook, currently seeking an SENCO to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic SENCO to support each child's individual needs, helping them reach their full potential with the appropriate support.

As a Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator, you will collaborate with students, families, and teachers to plan and adapt each child's learning development and monitor their progress using various behaviour plans and techniques.

The Role:

  • Lead all aspects of SEND provision across the school
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies
  • Monitor and review EHCPs, IEPs, and other support plans
  • Ensure statutory requirements and best practices in SEND are implemented
  • Provide guidance, CPD, and support for staff in inclusive teaching and differentiation
  • Advocate for children with SEND, promoting equity and inclusion

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to undertake it)
  • Proven experience in a similar SENCO or inclusion-focused role
  • Excellent understanding of the SEND Code of Practice
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
  • A caring, positive attitude and a child-centred approach to education
