Job summary

Randstad Tutor roles across Preston and surrounding regions involve delivering tailored 1:1 or small group tuition to SEN pupils, following EHCP plans, with both face-to-face and online sessions.

We welcome QTS/NQTs, Teaching Assistants, HLTAs or graduates seeking flexible, year-round work and professional development through free e-learning modules and online delivery platforms.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience working with SEN, disengaged youth, or within alternative provisions.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy.
  • Strong IT competency and reliable broadband for online sessions.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to acquire one).
  • Inspirational communication style that motivates and encourages students.

Responsibilities

  • Tailored Tuition: Deliver 1:1 or small group sessions (up to 1:6).
  • Strategic Planning: Create lesson plans aligned with EHCP objectives.
  • Progress Tracking: Record attainment levels in internal reporting system.
  • Collaboration: Work with schools, foster carers and social workers.
  • Safeguarding: Follow KCSIE and safeguarding guidelines.

Location: Preston & Surrounding Regions Pay Scale: 28.00 - 33.00 per hour (P.A.Y.E) Contract: Flexible / Part-time & Full-time opportunities

You will work closely with students-both face-to-face and online-following individual EHCP plans to build their core knowledge while significantly boosting their confidence and self-esteem.
