Job summary

Randstad Student Support is seeking an SEN Tutor to support pupils across Blackpool and surrounding regions. The role involves delivering 1:1 or small group tuition (up to 1:6), both face-to-face and online, following EHCP plans to raise attainment and confidence.

We welcome QTS/NQTs, Teaching Assistants (Levels 1-3), HLTA or Graduates who can engage and motivate learners. DBS Update Service is preferred. Flexible hours offer year-round opportunities including school holidays.

Qualifications

  • At least 6 months of experience working with SEN, disengaged youth, or within alternative provisions.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviours with patience and empathy.
  • Strong IT competency: laptop/computer access and stable broadband for online sessions.
  • Have a valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to acquire one.
  • Inspirational communication style that motivates students.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering engaging 1:1 or small group sessions (up to 1:6) tailored to learning styles.
  • Create lesson plans aligned with EHCP objectives and students' interests.
  • Progress tracking and recording attainment levels in internal reporting system.
  • Collaborate with schools, foster carers, and social workers for holistic support.
  • Follow safeguarding guidelines and KCSIE requirements.
