Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking two experienced SEN Specialist Tutors to support a Year 11 pupil with complex SEMH, PDA characteristics and speech and language needs. Learning will begin at home before progressing into community settings, under careful supervision with a Medical Lead Tutor for diabetes protocols.

You will deliver personalised English, Maths, and life skills using low-demand communication, support emotional regulation, and work in a high-synchrony two-tutor partnership to manage

Qualifications

Proven specialist experience with complex SEMH, trauma-informed care, and PDA characteristics.
Strong background in PBS, de-escalation, and dynamic risk management.
Competence in delivering functional KS3/4 English and Maths.
Willingness to undergo Type 1 Diabetes management training.
Ability to work collaboratively in a high-synchrony two-tutor partnership.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalised functional English, Maths, and life skills tuition using low-demand communication approaches.
Provide proactive co-regulation, emotional regulation support, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
Monitor and manage Type 1 Diabetes protocols during home sessions (Medical Lead Tutor).
Utilise Century Tech to deliver bite-sized, low-pressure diagnostic and learning modules.
Gradually support transitions into quiet community settings once medical and emotional milestones are met.
