Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a QTS Tutor SEN to deliver one-to-one tuition in Stone, Staffordshire. The role is temporary and part-time (20 hours per week) with a pay rate of GBP30–GBP35 per hour, dependent on experience.

You will deliver tailored lessons in core subjects such as Maths and English to students with SEN. The successful candidate must hold QTS, have experience with SEN, and possess a strong knowledge of the UK curriculum, along with excellent communication and behaviour management

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience working with children or young people with SEN
• Strong knowledge of the UK curriculum
• Experience teaching or tutoring core subjects including Maths and English
• Excellent communication and behaviour management skills
• Right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated one‑to‑one tuition sessions.
• Support students with SEN including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and additional learning needs.
• Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual academic abilities and learning styles.
• Build positive relationships that promote confidence, engagement, and progress.
• Monitor student development and provide regular feedback on progress.
• Create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
