Job summary

Prospero Teaching in the UK is seeking an experienced 1:1 SEN Tutor in Staffordshire to support pupils with SEN in school or at home. The role is part-time, contract-based, starting ASAP, with daytime hours 8am–4pm.

You will deliver learning plans, adapt materials for individual pupils, and report weekly progress to monitor development and readiness for progression.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS on Update Service.
• Overseas Police Check (if applicable).
• 2 years of professional references.
• QTS or equivalent tutoring experience.
• Experience working within a SEN setting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis.
• Monitor pupil progress and submit weekly reports.
• Provide structure to daily routines and support educational development.
• Sessions may occur after school 3-4pm or evenings as needed.

• Minimum rate of pay - GBP25/hr
• Hours - 8am - 4pm*

Further Information:

The successful tutor will need to be patient, empathetic and be able to create/deliver learning plans on a 1:1 basis. A therapeutic approach may also be needed to re-engage students with their learning. The aim is to provide the pupil with structure in their daily routine and to continue their educational development, ultimately helping them return to an educational setting.

Prospero will work with you closely to monitor the progression with each pupil by asking you to submit weekly reports.

*Tuition takes place generally in school daytime hours but occasional opportunities after school 3-4pm and evening occur. Sessions can range between 1-4 hours on a daily or weekly basis.
