Job summary

Esland Grantham School is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to deliver high-quality education to small groups and individuals, within our school and through outreach services in surrounding children’s homes. You’ll be supporting children aged 8 to 18 with SEMH and complex needs, helping them achieve their potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

We’re looking for an outstanding, committed, and motivated practitioner to help shape engaging learning experiences.

Qualifications

  • Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET), PTLLS, or equivalent.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (preferred).
  • Experience working with young people with SEMH and complex needs.
  • Proven ability to manage challenging behaviour.
  • Knowledge of vocational pathways and subjects.
  • Experience in 1:1 and small group tutoring.
  • Strong planning, evaluation, and differentiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational abilities.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality education to small groups and individuals, within school and through outreach services.
  • Support pupils aged 8 to 18 with SEMH and complex needs to achieve their potential.
  • Plan, assess and adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain a supportive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with staff, families, and external partners as required.
