Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking Face to Face Tutors to deliver Maths, English or Science tutoring to young people with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD. Role involves 1:1 tutoring, trauma-informed approaches, and flexible part-time hours. Local authorities and schools refer learners, with ongoing recruitment to meet needs.

The role emphasizes patient, empathetic tutors who can create learning plans and re-engage students in education. DBS required; UK-based with right to work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young people with SEND/SEMH/MLD/SLD.
• Knowledge of safeguarding processes.
• Enhanced DBS (we can help obtain this at cost).
• Two professional references.
• You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Provide Maths and English tuition to SEND learners on a 1:1 basis.
• Develop and deliver learning plans tailored to individual needs (SEMH/MLD/SLD).
• Support safeguarding and student wellbeing during tutoring sessions.
