Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a SEN Tutor in Bromley to deliver 1:1 tuition in Functional Skills, Maths and English on a flexible, part-time basis. You will tailor lessons to each learner’s needs, working with looked after children and those with EHCPs to promote progress.

The role requires at least 1 year of SEN experience, the right to work in the UK, and an Enhanced DBS check. The position is temporary with flexible hours and a pay rate of £25-£30 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience working with children or young people with SEN in educational or therapeutic settings.
• Experience teaching or supporting Functional Skills and/or core subjects (Maths or English).
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check completed or willing to undertake.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 tuition in Functional Skills, Maths, and/or English.
• Adapt lessons to each learner's ability and EHCP requirements.
• Design and deliver individualised lesson plans.
• Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to coordinate support.
• Maintain calm, encouraging approach to foster engagement.
