Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking Part Time 1:1 tutors to support children in care and pupils with SEN in Brentwood and surrounding areas. Typical sessions focus on Maths, English and Science during the school day, in various settings such as home or care environments.

Ideal candidates have degree-level qualifications in tuition subjects, and a genuine desire to engage and motivate learners. The role is part-time, starting ASAP, with a temporary ongoing contract and 3 hours per day Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS is preferred but is not essential if you have relevent experience.
• Minimum of degree level in tuition subject
• Experience working with Students with SEMH or LAC would be advantageous.
• Highly motivated and focused on achieving the best for every student.
• A positive attitude and desire.
• The ability to engage and motivate students whilst making learning fun.

Responsibilities

• Support core subjects (Maths, English and Science) across all key stages.
• Provide 1:1 tuition during school hours in Brentwood and surrounding areas.
• Adapt teaching to meet the needs of pupils with SEN/SEMH and LAC.
