Job summary

Teaching Personnel is recruiting dedicated Primary SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one tuition across Sherborne and the surrounding areas. You’ll support primary-aged children with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs, helping them build confidence, re-engage with learning and make meaningful academic progress.

Delivery is flexible, with part-time and full-time opportunities. Tuition takes place in schools, community venues or learners' homes.

Qualifications

  • Experience with primary-aged children in mainstream and/or SEN/SEND settings.
  • Previous tutoring or teaching experience.
  • Understanding of safeguarding.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-to-one tuition tailored to each learner.
  • Adapt lessons to individual needs and abilities.
  • Support academic development across the primary curriculum.
  • Monitor and record learner progress.
  • Work positively with families, schools and other professionals.

TP Tutors is recruiting dedicated Primary SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one tuition across Sherborne and the surrounding areas.

You’ll support primary-aged children with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other additional needs, helping them build confidence, re-engage with learning and make meaningful academic progress.

Location: Sherborne and surrounding areas
Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
Pay: £25–£30 per hour
Delivery: One-to-one tuition in schools, community venues or learners' homes

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging one-to-one tuition tailored to each learner
  • Adapt lessons to suit individual needs and abilities
  • Support academic development across the primary curriculum
  • Encourage confidence, engagement and independence
  • Monitor and record learner progress
  • Work positively with families, schools and other professionals
Essential Requirements
  • Experience working with primary-aged children in mainstream and/or SEN/SEND settings
  • Previous tutoring, teaching, mentoring or education experience
  • Understanding of safeguarding
  • Ability to travel across Sherborne and surrounding areas
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
