Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated One to One Tutor to support primary and secondary pupils across Manchester through personalised 1:1 tuition. You will work with learners who require additional help to access learning, focusing on KS1 to KS4, building confidence, and developing core skills with a patient, nurturing approach.

Flexible hours and DBS update may be required, with September start and long-term opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience in an educational setting such as tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support or mentoring.
• Experience supporting primary-aged children.
• Good understanding of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
• SEN experience desirable.
• DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Driver preferred; willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 tutoring sessions across KS1 to KS4.
• Develop personalised plans to build confidence and support learning.
• Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches to individual learners.
• Collaborate with Local Authorities or educational settings as needed.
• Maintain strong communication and relationships with learners and guardians.

Were looking for a One to One Tutor to support primary and secondary aged children across Manchester through personalised 1:1 tuition.

Working on behalf of Local Authorities, youll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision or additional help to access learning. Many pupils benefit from a patient, nurturing approach that helps develop core skills, increase confidence, and encourage positive engagement with education.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young learners and make a lasting impact during an important stage of their educational journey.

Location: East Manchester

Key Stages: KS1 to KS4

Start Date: September

Hours: Flexible

Pay Rate: GBP25-GBP30 per hour

Type: 1:1 Tuition

Minimum 6 months experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
