Job summary

TP Tutors is seeking experienced SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one tuition exclusively to primary and secondary SEN learners across Crawley and the surrounding areas.

You'll support students with autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND needs, using a flexible and individualised approach to help them overcome educational barriers.

Qualifications

  • Experience working specifically with SEN/SEND children or young people.
  • Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring or relevant education experience.
  • Understanding of safeguarding requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver tailored one-to-one tuition.
  • Adapt teaching approaches to meet specific learning needs.
  • Support primary and secondary SEN learners with their education.
  • Develop confidence, engagement and independence.

Job description

TP Tutors is seeking experienced SEN Tutors to provide one-to-one tuition exclusively to primary and secondary SEN learners across Crawley and the surrounding areas.

You'll support students with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH and other SEND needs, using a flexible and individualised approach to help them overcome educational barriers.

  • Pay: £25–£30 per hour
  • Location: Crawley and surrounding areas
  • Students: Primary and secondary SEN learners
  • Contract: Flexible part-time and full-time opportunities
  • Delivery: Schools, community venues and learners’ homes

You'll work closely with individual SEN students to:

  • Previous teaching, tutoring, mentoring or relevant education experience
  • Experience in mainstream and/or specialist SEN settings
  • Understanding of safeguarding requirements
  • Ability to support primary and/or secondary SEN learners
  • Ability to travel across Crawley and nearby areas
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
