Job summary

Teaching Personnel in Blackburn is seeking a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to primary and secondary learners with SEN in BB9. This part-time role fits around school hours and offers a rewarding way to help pupils build confidence and attainment.

You will plan tailored lessons, adapt strategies for ASD, ADHD, SEMH and other needs, and receive ongoing support from a TP Tutors consultant. Weekly PAYE payments every Friday and DBS compliance are included.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year's teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
  • Experience with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
  • SEN experience is essential.

TP Tutors is looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition to Primary and Secondary-aged learners with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across BB9, Blackburn. This is a rewarding opportunity to help students build confidence, improve attainment, and reach their full potential through personalised support.

  • Deliver engaging 1:1 SEN tuition sessions.
  • Plan lessons tailored to each child's individual learning needs.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to support a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and other additional needs.
  • Build positive relationships that encourage confidence, independence, and engagement.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular feedback after each session.
  • Minimum 1 year's teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
  • Experience with Primary and Secondary-aged learners.
  • SEN experience is essential.
  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Flexible part-time work during weekdays between school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
