Job summary

Abbey Hill Academy & College is seeking a dedicated individual to join the team delivering specialist learning support to pupils with identified SEN. The role operates under supervision of a qualified teacher and supports continuity of teaching and learning during teacher absences, including PPA and short-term cover.

You will contribute to specialist SEND provision, adapt activities, monitor pupil progress, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to support pupils'

Responsibilities

• Provide short term classroom cover (up to 3 consecutive days) for any teacher absence
• Provide PPA cover as required
• Plan, prepare, and deliver specified work to whole classes, small groups, and individuals, modifying activities as necessary
• Assess, record, and report on pupil development, progress, and attainment
• Provide appropriate and accessible feedback to pupils on their progress
• Supervise pupils and assist with maintaining classroom order during the day
• Administer medication in accordance with healthcare plans and school policy under supervision
