Job summary

Abbey Hill Academy & College is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide high-quality PPA and short-term absence cover within our most complex classes.

Working under the direction of a qualified teacher, you will deliver a holistic curriculum that includes academic subjects, OT, SALT sessions, EHCP targets and PSHE.

You will support pupils' learning, social and emotional wellbeing, liaise with staff and external agencies, and help with assessment and feedback.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting PPA and short-term cover within a primary setting.
• Ability to work with pupils with diverse and complex needs.
• Strong communication with staff and external professionals.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver teaching activities under supervisor
• Assess, record and report on development and progress
• Liaise with staff and professionals, provide pupil information
• Support pupils with learning needs and specialist support as required
• Provide PPA cover and short-term class cover as needed
• Assist with exams and tests as required
