Job summary

Job description

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) under the guidance of the classroom teacher.
  • Support students in their academic and social development, fostering an inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support.
  • Supporting students with various complex needs including, ASD, PMLD, SEMH

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with students with special educational needs would be a preference.
  • Knowledge of various learning difficulties and strategies to support them.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with SEN students.
  • An understanding of safeguarding procedures.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
