Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant to support autistic children in small-group and 1:1 settings, developing academic, social and emotional skills. The role is term-time only with a 39.2-week year and a pro-rata salary of £23,000 plus a £1,000 joining bonus, with access to funded qualifications and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Previous SEN experience is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Support children with their learning and development.
• Help develop communication, social and life skills.
• Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Support children during breaks, routines and transitions.
• Assist with educational trips and activities.
• Work closely with experienced professionals and specialist teams.
• Take part in ongoing training, supervision and professional development.
