Job summary

Rikama Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special educational needs (SEN) school in Greenwich. You will support small groups and 1-to-1 sessions, delivering a differentiated curriculum tailored to individual needs including ASD, ADHD and behavioural needs.

Working with a supportive team, you will help students develop academic, personal, social and PSHE skills, build trust, use positive behaviour strategies and maintain clear records to inform learning

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in special needs settings.
• Passion for supporting young people with SEN, including ASD.
• Strong communication with students and staff.
• Flexible and adaptable team player.
• Male candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small groups and 1-to-1 sessions.
• Differentiate curriculum to individual needs.
• Use calming behaviour techniques.
• Build trust and rapport with students.
• Support PSHE development and life skills.
• Collaborate with teachers and professionals.
