Job summary

Bishop King Primary School in Lincoln is seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our SEND team for 20 hours per week, 39 weeks per year. The role supports individual children's learning under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo.

The successful candidate will have experience with children, strong English and Maths, and a positive, collaborative approach. A commitment to high-quality education and professional development is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children in a similar role
• Good standard of English and Maths essential
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Positive attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Provide support for children’s additional needs as applicable
• Prepare resources and teaching materials under guidance of the class teacher/SENDCo
• Liaise with class teacher, SENDCo, outside agencies and parents
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
