Job summary

Randstad Education in Guildford is seeking an experienced SEN teaching assistant to support students with autism and complex disabilities on a day-to-day or long-term basis.

You will work with pupils operating below age expectancy, using strong communication and patience to foster resilience and proactive engagement in learning. Working hours are 9:30-3:30 with a daily rate of £88-£100.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce (or willingness to pay).
• Prior experience (3–6 months) with children/youth, preferably SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach.

Job description

We are searching for an experienced SEN teaching assistant to join our school based in Guildford on a day-to-day basis / long term contracted basis (until the end of the academic year with a possibility of switching to a permanent position for the right candidate).

In this role you will be working along students with autism, complex disabilities as well as non-verbal communication, who are operating below age expectancy.

Working Hours: 9:30-3:30

Salary: £88-£100 a day

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above, or equivalent standard). Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not neccessary.
• Enhanced DBS check for child and adult workforce on the update service or willingness to pay for one.
• Prior experience (3-6 months minimum) working with children or young people, preferably within SEN.
• Strong communication skills, patience, emotional resilience, and a proactive approach.
