Job summary

Randstad Education in Reigate is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our specialist school. You will support students with severe learning and physical disabilities, collaborating with teachers to implement tailored support plans.

The role runs 8:30-16:30 with a daily rate of £88-£93. A DBS via Update Service is preferred or willingness to obtain one; driving is beneficial due to transport links.

Qualifications

• DBS via Update Service preferred or willingness to obtain one.
• 3–6 months experience with SEN pupils or transferable care/ support work experience.
• Understanding various complex disabilities and autism.

Responsibilities

• Support students with severe learning and physical disabilities.
• Assist teaching staff with lesson delivery and supervision.
• Contribute to maintaining a safe and supportive classroom environment.

Working Hours: 8:30-4:30

(Salary: £88-93 per day)

Requirements:

• The school is near public transport options however driving is preferred.
• Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.
• Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable skills from similar industries e.g. care or support work.
• An understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.
• Transferrable skills from other related fields: care, support work or similar.
