Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for our specialist school near Reigate. You will support students with severe learning and physical disabilities, helping them access lessons and participate in activities.

The role offers a rewarding environment within a dedicated team. The role requires an Enhanced DBS, willingness to undergo Update Service, and prior 3–6 months of SEN or similar care experience.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEN or similar care roles.
• Understanding of various complex disabilities and autism.
• DBS check (Enhanced) and Update Service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with SEN on a daily basis in classroom activities.
• Support inclusion, monitor safety, and adapt activities.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our award-winning, specialist school based in Reigate.

In this role you will be supporting students with a variety of severe learning and physical disabilities.

Working Hours: 8:30-4:30

(Salary: £88-93 per day)

Requirements:

• The school is near public transport options however driving is preferred.
• Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.
• Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable skills from similar industries e.g. care or support work.
• An understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.
• Transferrable skills from other related fields: care, support work or similar.
