Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join an award-winning specialist school in Reigate.

You will support students with severe learning and physical disabilities, ensuring their safety and progress throughout the day. The role includes maintaining positive behavioural support, assisting classroom staff, and implementing individual education plans as directed. Hours are 8:30–4:30, with a daily rate of £88–£93; driving preferred though not essential.

Qualifications

• 3-6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable skills from care or support work.
• Understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.
• Driving is preferred; proximity to public transport helpful.

Requirements:

• The school is near public transport options however driving is preferred.
• Enhanced Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to undergo one.
• Proven history of 3-6 months working with SEN pupils or transferable skills from similar industries e.g. care or support work.
• An understanding of various complex disabilities and/or autism.
• Transferrable skills from other related fields: care, support work or similar.
