GSL Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support students with high and complex ASD in a Southgate-based all-through SEN school (N14). ASAP start, ad hoc supply hours 8:15am-3:45pm, with potential for regular long-term opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have at least 1 year of experience with ASD/SEN, 1:1 support experience, an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain), and the right to work in the UK. DBS Update Service preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year's experience supporting students with ASD/SEN and very high needs.
  • Recent school-based experience.
  • Experience supporting students with SEN on a 1:1 basis.
  • Able to support students with a range of SEN needs.
  • Flexible and able to work across KS1-KS2.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Two to three professional references covering the last two to three years.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated support to students with high and complex ASD needs.
  • Support students with their learning, communication, wellbeing and development.
  • Provide 1:1 support where required and adapt approaches to individual needs.
  • Support students with a range of SEN needs across different year groups.

GSL Education is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant - High and Complex ASD to join a welcoming all-through SEN school in Southgate, N14, starting ASAP. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEN professional to gain valuable experience supporting students with complex additional needs while working within a supportive school environment. With potential for regular work for the right candidate leading to a permanent contract, this could be an excellent opportunity to develop your SEN career.
