Job summary

Exclusive Education is seeking a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to work in a mainstream secondary school, supporting pupils with varied SEN and helping them access the curriculum.

The role starts asap and is long term. Candidates should have KS3-KS4 experience, a Level 4 TA or teaching qualification, and a current DBS with update service, with two references available on request.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 4 TA qualification or teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK or be a UK resident.
• Recent experience of working with children (last 2 years).
• Excellent knowledge of the full curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Experience working with pupils with Special Educational Needs.
• Two references working with children.
• Holder of a current DBS registered with the update service or willing to apply for a new one.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils with special educational needs within a mainstream secondary setting.
• Assist students to access the curriculum and participate in lessons.
