Job summary

UCM Education is seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to start ASAP or September in Harrow. This is a long-term, full-time role with Monday to Friday duties, supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups.

You will work closely with teachers, therapists and support staff to help pupils reach their full potential. The successful candidate will have SEN experience, strong behaviour management, patience and resilience, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months' experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism and learning difficulties.
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils.
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

• Full-time position (Monday to Friday)
• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff

The successful Special Needs Teaching Assistant will have:

• At least 3 months' experience supporting children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism and learning difficulties
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils
• A patient, resilient, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A genuine passion for helping pupils achieve their full potential

You will need:

• A fully enhanced DBS
• Full-time availability (Monday to Friday)
• Experience supporting pupils with SEN and additional needs
