Job summary

Senploy is currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant for a secondary setting near Attleborough, Norfolk. The role is 32 hours per week, term-time only, with a permanent contract and an hourly rate of £14.30–£16.50, depending on experience.

You will support pupils aged 11–16 with SEMH/ASD needs, work in small classes, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a nurturing learning environment. Driving licence is required due to rural location.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above) or equivalent.
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or working towards it).
• Understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
• Experience supporting students with SEMH or ASD needs.
• Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle due to rural location.

• Build warm and supportive relationships with students.
• Encourage independence, personal development and positive behaviour.
• Support delivery of a broad, balanced curriculum adapted to needs.
• Assist the class teacher with classroom organisation and routines.
• Be adaptable to changing needs of the class and school.
• Promote students' cognitive, emotional, social, behavioural and physical development.
• Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
