Job summary

Senploy is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Teaching Assistant for an SEN secondary school in Enfield. The role focuses on supporting students with additional needs to engage with learning and manage emotions in a safe, supportive environment.

You will work with teachers and therapists to provide consistent support, fostering calm, respectful behaviour and helping students develop confidence and independence. Term-time, long-term, full-time placement with daily rates £100–£120.

Qualifications

• Ability to stay calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations.
• Experience or understanding of SEN/SEMH, behaviour support, youth work or related settings is desirable.
• Ability to build strong relationships while maintaining clear boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups with their learning and emotional regulation
• Providing calm, consistent support during challenging moments and helping students re-engage with learning
• Building positive relationships that encourage trust, confidence, and independence
• Working closely with teachers, therapists, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to provide consistent support
• Encouraging positive behaviour through patience, structure, and clear expectations
• Recognising and celebrating every achievement, no matter how small
