Job summary

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a warm and supportive primary school in Colchester, starting ASAP. This role involves assisting pupils with Special Educational Needs in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis, with a focus on effective behaviour management and inclusive learning.

The candidate will have experience with SEN, ASD, ADHD or SEMH needs, and hold or be willing to obtain safeguarding training.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEN in a UK primary school setting (placements accepted).
• Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or other additional needs is desirable.
• Relevant TA, SEN, or childcare qualifications desirable.
• Up-to-date safeguarding training issued within the last year (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Supporting pupils with SEN in the classroom and on a 1:1 basis.
• Implement behaviour management strategies to support inclusion.
